The Intro:

The intro to the game features an extremely cute little monkey trying to find his way to a live volcano. An array of brightly colored fruit come flying through the screen as the monkey makes its way to the volcano; where he is joined by what looks like a village chief - Big Kahuna!

The Game:

The images on the game reels are extremely vibrant. Unlike some slot games which are a little hard on the eyes Big Kahuna is very pleasing. As you can see from the image below this a very light hearted and entertaining game.

The Payouts:

Big Kahuna has two bonus features. The Volcano Bonus and the Mask Bonus feature. I will speak a little more about these below but the idea of the game is to of course get 5 Big Kahuna symbols on a payline. The Big Kahuna symbol is also wild so it substitues for any other fruit symbol on a payline. There is also a "Scatter Symbol" where wins are multipied by the total number of coins bet.

The Volcano Bonus:

The Volcano bonus is pretty straight forward and I was somewhat dissapointed with it to be honest. I guess it is not bad but after I received the Mask Bonus twice it was a little disappointing. When you line up at least 3 Volcano's on a payline you get the bonus.

As you can see from the picture below there are 5 fruits you need to choose from. The fruit will then drop into the volcano and you will be awarded the applicable bonus, not bad, not great. I will give this bonus a 6out of 10 based purely on the graphics and animations.

As you can see in the shot below, I received 375 coins on my bonus.

The Mask Bonus:

Oh yes, this is my idea of a great bonus. I give this a 9 out of 10. As you can see from the first image below there are 10 masks. You need to choose wisely - as the game says.

There are 3 "Collect Masks" out of the ten total masks and the idea is to avoid them. When you click on a "Collect Mask" the game will payout your total mask selection values. As you can see in the game above I selected 3 masks correctly. I was rewarded with 775 coins!!

The 4 masks with "10" on them were the ones I missed. I do however receive 10 bonus credits for each giving me a total of 815 credits!!

The Summary:

I really enjoy playing Big Kahuna and continue to do so at Golden Reef Casino. You can see a full review of them here. They have 1 cent coin minimums which is always nice as my max bet then is only 45 cents on this game. I do however have the option to increase my coin size to $1 for a $45 bet per spin when I am feeling lucky.
